Eligibility
To be eligible for this course, you need to have completed an improv basics course (with anyone, not just us) or have been casually doing improv for while.
You can skip this course if you’ve already completed the Improv Level 2b – Long-form course of the old curriculum.
What is Narrative Improv
It’s a long-form improvised performance where a narrative (or plot) is created, explored and advanced through a number of scenes. It can be thought of as learning to improvise a short play. In this style of improv, you’ll find yourself playing the same character more than once and working towards keeping a story going for a few scenes.
What you’ll be doing in this Course
You’ll learn about the basic story arc and how to apply this to your narratives. You will also look at how to move from scene to scene, and work towards creating a story from start to finish.
Showcase Performance
There will be a live performance showcase at the end of this course.
